Castle Leslie Estate Wedding
Suzie and Aaron

Suzanne and Aaron’s wedding at Castle Leslie Estate in County Monaghan earlier this year is one of my favourite weddings to date. Everything was perfect including the weather and we created some fantastic images.
In addition to documenting the day, as a Belfast wedding photographer I find the best weddings are when we (the couple and I) work together as a ‘team’ while allowing sufficient time to have fun with our portrait sessions. I always try to ensure that the couple are as relaxed as possible so that we can get the best images.
The day kicked off at the Bride’s house capturing the preparations, hair styling and make-up before dashing over to the Groom’s home to get some shots of the lads getting ready. The wedding ceremony was at Lambeg Parish Church before the long drive to the fabulous Castle Leslie for the reception and evening celebrations.
Suzie and Aaron chose candles in the church and continued the theme having them placed around Castle Leslie and as table centre pieces. The flowers in soft ivory, pink and peach colours were elegant and timeless and worked beautifully with the candles and the bouquets and tops table pieces provided the understated elegant, final touches, that brought together the whole look.
Both keen cyclists, Suzie and Aaron managed to subtly squeeze in references to the sport that popped up here and there: bicycle flower holders on the top table, a personalised cycling wedding cake topper and even a signed cycle top which Suzie’s dad had organised. The cake topper was just the finishing touch to the stunning wedding cake – originally planning only a small three tier cake, Suzie saw it on display in Melting Moments and couldn’t resist it’s ivory lace, bow and pearl decoration that tied in so beautifully with the rest of the wedding.
