November 2015 – I love my work as a Belfast wedding photographer and it’s always a privilege to share in a couple’s wedding day and capture all those special moments.
A while ago I was put in touch with a lovely couple who needed a photographer. I immediately recognised the name of the groom to be who was a very old school friend whom I hadn’t seen in over 30 years. It was great to catch up with him after all those years and discuss their wedding photography.
Alan and Ruth’s Autumn Wedding was at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel in Bangor were they also had their reception party. The wedding service was great and the minister was a genuinely nice chap and quite funny at times too. The weather was perfect for their day and we got some great portraits in the surrounding gardens before dinner. Ruth was really stunning and Alan was looking sharp. It was bright and sunny and the early autumnal colours also worked well.
The reception was a lot of fun and had a quirky ‘football’ theme with each table named after a football stadium – keeping in line with the day’s fun itinerary design. The cake topper was also ‘footy’ of course. The evening reception party was a lot of fun and everyone had a great time.
It was an honour to meet Alan after such a long time and capture his wedding day and I look forward to catching up with them both in the near future.
